Hi Shane:
When I began walking from Canada to South America almost twenty years ago, I had very little money, and a couple of wonderful books on edible plants and mushrooms and ever since then I´ve been investigating all manner of wild foods as I have journeyed round the planet. It´s a lot of fun and for more nature is a smorgasbord just waiting to be sampled.

Now my eye is automaticaly is drawn to edible foods, perhaps its the colour or a certain vibration or a similarity with another species thatis edible. Mushrooms is something to be very careful about, but as for the wild veggies, after a while you recognize what is edible by where it grows, or with what plant it´s growing next to.
