FULL MOON VOLCANO

Melimoyo Volcano and the Palena River lit by an autumn full moon on a bitterly cold night. As seen from our land. This photo took around 30 seconds to expose and the white spots are stars moving through the night sky.

BLUE MOON OVER PATAGONIA

To see any moon above La Junta is a big deal with all the rain we've been having recently, but to see a Blue Moon, well that's quite miraculous. I took this picture from our garden as the moon rose above the spectacular mountain range Montes Barros Arana, just outside of the village. None of us had ever seen the moom appear so huge and close and thus our Once in a Blue Moon experience was one for the picture… Continue
