Last spring, I have planted more than 30 types of vegetables and herbs in our permaculture garden, and now we are harvesting plenty of vegetable, all organic. Our garden did very well and amazed all the visitors. (Here in Southern Hemisphere, it's autumn in March)
I learned how to make…

Mayumi has been a great help. She enjoys everything she does. She doesn'd mind cold or bad weather. She always find something positive in any situation. That's a wonderful talent. Inspired by her, we worked even harder. Paul made a frame for chimney and three of us installed a fire place. It was difficult and it took us all day until after dark. However, full moon helped us illuminating the roof and chimeny. Mayumi said, "the moon is shining on us saying you should get it…

After we finished our roof structure and all the volunters had left in mid April, we had rain almost everyday. Paul did almost all the roofing work and it took us one month...and finally we did it!
The challenge we fased were...
1) The roof has to be strong enough to support green roof.
2) The roof has to have…

It's been three months since we came to Chile, so in mid January we traveled to Argentina over on the other side of the Andes to get another three month tourist visa. We are going to apply for a permanent visa once we get our house built, but until then it is necessary to renew our visa every three months.
In Argentina we…
