Our Little Thing - Creating A Sustainable Lifestyle In Patagonia

Creación de un estilo de vida sostenible en Patagonia パタゴニアでサステイナブルな暮らし作り

We're only 80 kms from the ocean and yet we hardly ever see any seafood! La Junta is a cowboy town and everyone eats beef and sheep - except us. There was a lady who sold fish from a small hut for a couple of months but she's dissapeared to more fishy climes, so it came as a small miracle that one day Konomi went to the local store and lo and behold a huge bag of King Crab Claws fresh from the nearby pacific. Just US$10 for the lot and a nice change for us and Cliff, who's working like a horse with an appetite.

Hello Paul,I love fish I eat it 3 times a week at least. You have got a river very near to your land.If you get some fishing line,a good hook, say a size 8 and a weight to keep it on the bottom ,some worms .You should be able to get some trout.just peg the line into the bank and leave overnight.Do that with say 6 lines you could do allright ,depending on the conditions of course.  PS.The size of some of the trout down there you better peg them in good.  good luck. And dont let someone say this river belongs to me ,and you are not allowed to fish it.
