Our Little Thing - Creating A Sustainable Lifestyle In Patagonia
Creación de un estilo de vida sostenible en Patagonia パタゴニアでサステイナブルな暮らし作り
Yesterday our friend Elizabeth took us for a for a drive to the other side of the lake. It was magnificent, from Puerto Varas all the way along the southern side of Lago Llanquihue, with the Volcan Osorno just across the water.
The sun shone bright, the air was winter crisp and the scenery that was not green with forests and pastures was sparkling with snow and ice.
The road eventually turned into a black volcanic sand track and at that point we came to The Saltillos, where a vast amount of water was squeezed between the mountains in an awesome display of cascading power. The vast nature of the surrounds reminded me of the majesty of Iceland, but was indeed a truly beautiful Chilean sight.
Tomorrow we fly to Coyhaique and from there will begin our journey north through Patagonia to our home in La Junta, where we will get back to work, building and planting.
