I have been busy making the furniture for our cabin. Here is a bench/storage cupboard. It`s very solid, holds a lot of food and sits at the table next to the front window that gives us such a lovely view. It`s made of Tepa, a local hardwood, that grows big fairly fast. I am pleased to be able to make such stuff, as I really did not like carpentry at school... perhaps it had something to do with the teacher, who hit me on the head one day with a piece of wood!

ここのところ家具作りに忙しい。これは、収納ができる椅子。とても丈夫で食料をたくさん収納でき、座ると目の前にある窓から美しい景色が見える。材料は、成長が比較的早く、地元で取れるテパという木から作った。かなり上手にできたのでとても嬉しい。というのも、学校で技術工作の授業は好きではなかったから・・・多分、先生のせいだろう。ある日、角材で頭を叩かれたのを覚えている！
